Getting stitched...

It is hard to hide the fact that I like adding bits of stitching to my knits.

I came across an invaluable resource of embroidery stitch videos at Mary Corbet's Needle'n'Thread.
Select a stitch, click play on the video and it is as if you have signed up for private classes in the comfort of your favourite chair!
Don't forget to make a cuppa....

J is for...

...Justo, one of my favourite Havana experiences.

He is a fabulous throw back to the time when men of the silver screen were charming, witty and debonair. Think Cary Grant in one of his quirky comedies and you have Justo!

Today is his birthday.... feliz cumpleaƱos mi amigo.

Havana calling...

My partner had some business to do in one of my favourite havens... I decided to tag along....
Internet access is hit or miss in enchanting Havana--- not such a bad thing when you wish to have the sounds, smells and sights of the city roll over you uninterrupted.
I prepared this blog before I left hoping that I would have the slim opportunity to hit "publish post". Knowing my favourite haunts, it was not hard to write my "postcards" in advance....

More when I return...

I love the Internet! I have no idea how I ever survived without it!!! If I am hungry I go here. When I travel I go here. To get inspired I go EVERYWHERE!!!

After the blog about my Ithaca travels, I got hits from a Ravelry group called Ithacans. Poking about the contents I came across the most fantastic, enchanting, inspiring, beautiful knit "abc" project...

Visit Union Purl.... and once you peel yourself away, grab your needles and hit your stash!

... or lack there of.

I found this Merriam-Webster Word of the Day quite fitting. I suspect anyone over 40 will appreciate this...
